Feeling the blues? Well let’s play some car games

So what if you cannot drive on the roads, you have got these automotive games to back you up

Yes, sitting at home the whole day is boring. But, we can use this time to unwind and hone our inner racing driver. So enjoy yourselves at 200 kilometres an hour, from the comfort of your home while playing these eight timeless games.

Project CARS 2

This simulation game is for the serious motorsport fans out there and gets you very close to actually experience what racing a car feels like. It is one of the most brutal simulation games that you will come across and will leave you spell bound with its handling dynamics and the detail in the cars as well as the realistic sounds.

Forza Motorsport 7

Forza Motorsport is one of the longest standing franchises here and is another simulator. Hard and unforgiving is how Forza is designed to feel. However, tone down the difficulty and even a first timer can have a ball. The franchise has a tally of over 700 cars to choose from, including vintage and modern day cars. The intense weather system and hyper-realistic tracks only add to the experience.

Mario Kart

Mario Kart is a racing game like no other, people of all age groups and interests can enjoy this game for hours! While it does not really need an introduction, Mario Kart has been evolving very slowly over time, with new stuff being added ever so often. Even if Nintendo left this game alone and just made it compatible with the latest systems, I’m sure we’d be playing this in 2050.

Need For Speed Heat

The Need for Speed name gives us nostalgia with the experience that the first instalment of the series gave all of us. However, Payback was a fairly big disappointment among fans and wasn’t able to live up to its name. This latest version ‘Heat’ plays on it’s strengths – a good storyline, expansive selection of cars and a killer location. Need for Speed isn’t one for the sim racers but it is surely fun!

Real Racing 3

Real Racing revolutionised gaming on the mobile with the first instalment in 2009, this latest addition gets console quality graphics in your hands. There are real time reflections, online multiplayer (not live, though) and a huge selection of cars including licensed Formula 1 cars.

F1 2019

This is a perfect fit for any F1 fanatic. It comes with a story based career mode for the first time since F1 2010. You get to compete in three F2 races before you get promoted to F1, allowing you to feel what a budding Formula 1 driver might feel like. How you perform will impact the scenario which will unfold later, adding an extra element to the career mode. The graphics and lighting system has seen a huge overall as well, making F1 2019 look more real than ever before.F1 2019

Dirt Rally 2

This game is centred completely around rally racing and will give you the chills every time you play it. It tries to gives its players the thrill and the fear every rally driver faces. It might be a little difficult at first but if you try hard enough you will eventually get there. It is one of the hardest sim racers out there but if you get it right, it is immensely rewarding.
