Cougar Motorsport launches India 4X4 Week in Goa

Cougar Motorsport have announced the launch of the India 4X4 Week (IXW), an off-road convention which will be held from the 22-24 July in Goa. IXW would be a prelude to the country’s biggest off-roading event –  the third edition of the Force Gurkha Rain Forest Challenge 2016.

This event will be organised in association with some of the country’s prominent off-road clubs which include Bangalore Off-road Development Association (BODA); Charminar Offroad Adventure Club, Hyderabad; DOT Goa; Pune Pathfinders and Gerrari Offroaders, Chandigarh.

The first edition of the IXW will see participation from various 4X4 vehicle manufacturers, off-road equipment manufacturers and distributors across the country. There will also be a display of vintage and uniquely modified 4WD vehicles. Apart from the manufactures’ test tracks, there will be a host of other off-road tracks and trails, where visitors can drive their own 4WD vehicles and enjoy the thrill of off-roading. Apart from this, there will also be a training and certification session on off-road driving, vehicle preparation, restoration and other aspects related to the sport of off-roading. As the sun sets in Goa, it is time to party. The evening entertainment will include a few unveils by manufacturers’ and also performances by different bands such as A26 from Goa and Motherjane from Kochi.

One can witness all the action at IXW and the 2016 Force Gurkha RFC for free. While access to some parts of the event like the training session, evening entertainment and inclusion in the 4X4 directory will be against registration and a nominal fee.
