Idemitsu Honda India Talent Hunt moves to Chennai

After a successful first round of  ‘Idemitsu Honda India Talent Hunt’ in Bengaluru, the talent hunt has now moved to Chennai for the next round. The programme aims to identify and mentor young and talented riders from the age group of 13-18 and make them worthy of participating in Indian and international motorcycle championships. So far, the talent hunt has attracted 16 registrations and the shortlisted candidates will be trained at Honda’s 10Ten Racing Academy. Further, they will get an opportunity to race in the third round of Idemitsu Honda India Talent Cup 2018 at the Madras Motorsports Race Track in Chennai. Honda says that they have even received registrations from children younger than 13 and have plans to train them as well.

Prabhu Nagaraj, vice president – brand and communication, HMSI Pvt. Ltd. said, “With a dream to represent India in the world Grand Prix Racing, this platform is the beginning of a clear development path and structured approach to nurturing riders from a young age. 17-year old Senthil Kumar, find from last year’s Honda One Make is performing strongly in both national and international championships. With this round in Chennai, it is encouraging to see the support from parents who are ready to commit towards developing a balance between motorsports and academics. We want more riders to represent Indian motorsports to the world”.

After Chennai, the talent hunt will further move to Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar, Aizwal, Delhi NCR, Bhopal, Vadodara, Pune and Coimbatore.
