Merzouga Rally 2018 Day 5: Santosh finishes 19th overall

As the curtains came down on the ninth edition of the Merzouga Rally, Sherco TVS riders Pedrero and Martin were placed in seventh and eleventh position overall. They finished the fifth stage in 15^th and 12^th positions respectively. Hero MotoSports riders Santosh and Mena finished the stage occupying the 30^th and 13^th place and at both riders grabbed the 19^th and 15^th position overall. Sherco TVS factory rider Santilino Lorenzo made a superb recovery, as he finished the stage in 4^th position compared to the 67^th place in the previous stage. He took the 31^st position overall. Teammate Vanni Cominotto finished the stage in 31^st position and is stands in 21^st place overall.

The final stage was a short 48.8km course in the Moroccan desert with 100 per cent dunes. It was a good run for Hero MotoSports as both their riders finished in the top 20 in overall rankings. Sherco TVS added another feather in its cap as Pedrero finished in top ten overall, as he maintained his good run throughout the rally. Teammate and debutant rider Martin too put a good show throughout the rally by finishing in top 15.
