Ary Bansal joins BRDC Rising young driver programme

The British Racing Drivers’ Club (or BRDC) Rising Star programme identifies drivers aged between 16 and 24 years of age (from British and Commonwealth countries) who show potential in reaching the highest levels of motorsport. Drivers are scouted and given access to Club Silverstone’s facilities, mentoring and membership network, with the aim of these Rising Stars representing the Club in championship worldwide. The programme by the BRDC counts F1 drivers like Lewis Hamilton as a part of its former Rising Stars, and the alumni roster for the programme also includes F1 drivers like Lando Norris, George Russell, Formula E champions such as Jake Dennis and Oliver Rowland, and 24 Hours of Le Mans winner Phil Hanson amongst other drivers in disciplines including endurance racing, GT cars and touring cars. Speaking on the occasion of joining the programme, Bansal said, "To be named a BRDC Rising Star is a real honour. The list of drivers who have come through this programme speaks for itself, and to represent India within it means a great deal to me. The support and guidance the Club offers will be invaluable as I take on a full European season, and I want to make the most of every opportunity it brings."
