Kush Maini completes first F1 test of 2026 Season with BWT Alpine F1 Team

Nestled in the dunes of the Dutch coast, the Zandvoort circuit was witness to Kush Maini’s first F1 test of the 2026 Season as the reserve and test driver of the BWT Alpine F1 Team. Kush Maini currently takes part in the Formula 2 series, racing for ART Grand Prix with teammate Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak.

The test on Thursday was part of a closed-door two-day session in which Maini completed a total of 193 laps and clocked 822km. Maini was driving the A521, which was Alpine’s 2021 Formula 1 contender. This season marks his second consecutive year as Alpine’s test and reserve driver.

Kush started his Formula 2 journey in 2023 with Campos Racing. He has also been a part of the Alpine Academy since 2023 and joined their driver development program. In 2025, he was appointed as the test and reserve driver for the BWT Alpine Formula 1 team.
