Red Bull Motorsports clinic with Mira Erda held in Baroda

Red Bull in partnership with Red Bull athlete Mira Erda conducted a go-karting workshop for select female racers across the country. Mira Erda is the first Indian female racer to race in Formula 4 BMW and a part of W Series Top 50. The workshop took place on 28th & 29th June at Erda’s Speedway, an international racing track for Karting in Sindhrot, Baroda. At the workshop, Mira, over the course of several sessions, worked on the basics of racing with the 18 top women karting drivers. They were taken through technical & physical routines applied by professional drivers in motorsports over the two-day long workshop.

The workshop started with a brief primer on the world of racing and how Red Bull supports young athletes in the sport. Mira is one among the only two Red Bull motorsport athletes in the country. Soon, Mira took the women on a track walk followed by a couple of laps to better understand the track and conditions. A wet track had delayed the start of the workshop by a few hours and had also ensured that the participants were faced with another challenge.

However, a gradual acclimatization process with the track along with Mira’s expert guidance helped the young racers. Soon, the women found just the right lines and could push their go-karts to the limits. Later in the workshop, a timed slalom course had to be tackled. The three fastest racers along the course got a direct entry into the Red Bull Kartfight. The last day meant lots of laps for each of the racers and by the end of a long day behind the wheel, the racers learnt valuable racing lessons from Mira.
