2024 Mercedes-Benz GLA launched at Rs 50.50 lakh
The Mercedes-Benz GLA is the entry point into the Mercedes-Benz SUV range headed by the likes of the G and GLS-Class. For 2024, the GLA receives styling updates and some new features. The powertrain remains unchanged, with GLA being available in the GLA 200 petrol variant and the GLA 220d 4MATIC diesel variant.
2024 Mercedes-Benz GLA exterior
The 2024 GLA gets a new set of headlamps and taillamps, with the headlamps now featuring high beam assist. The GLA is available in the standard ‘Progressive Line’ and optional ‘AMG Line’ trims. The AMG Line gets body coloured trim on the front bumper and wheel arches and a diamond grille with chrome pins. Also on offer are new 18-inch (Progressive Line) and 19-inch (AMG Line) alloy wheel designs. The facelift also adds the Spectral Blue paint option to the GLA.
2024 Mercedes-Benz GLA powertrain
The 2024 GLA gets a petrol and diesel option. The GLA 200 variant gets a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol inline-4 engine producing 161bhp of power and 270Nm of torque through a seven-speed DCT gearbox. The GLA 220d variant gets a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel producing 188bhp of power and 400Nm of torque through an eight-speed DCT gearbox.
2024 Mercedes-Benz GLA interior
The 2024 GLA gets styling upgrades in the interior as well, with a new illuminated star pattern trim on the Progressive Line and a carbonfibre trim on the AMG line. The leather-clad flat-bottom multifunction steering wheel is new and the interior can be upholstered in ARTICO leather in Macchiato Beige or Black, with microfibre available on the AMG line.
2024 Mercedes-Benz GLA features
The 2024 GLA gets new technology including the latest MBUX infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other conveniences include keyless go and gesture-controlled boot opening. New 360-degree cameras, blind spot assist, and high beam assist add to the GLA’s safety features.
2024 Mercedes-Benz GLA prices
The 2024 GLA has been launched at an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 50.50 lakh. This puts it slightly higher than the outgoing model which started at Rs 48.4 lakh ex-showroom and went up to Rs 53.3 lakh ex-showroom. The new GLA will go up against the BMW X1 (Rs 49.5 lakh ex-showroom) and Audi Q3 ( Rs 52.97 lakh ex-showroom).
