Auto Expo 2018: Mercedes-Benz showcases its Concept EQ

Mercedes-Benz has displayed 13 cars at the on-going Auto Expo in Greater Noida. The vehicles include Mercedes-AMG F1 car, AMG SLC 43 and the AMG GT R among others. The highlight was its EQ Concept, the electric car which gives an insight into a new generation of upcoming electric vehicles from Mercedes-Benz. The EQ Concept gets touch based control without knobs and adaptive ambience lighting . It also showcased the E-Class All-Terrain car at the event.

The Mercedes-Maybach S 650 was launched at a price of Rs 2.73 crore and it comes with a ‘Made in India’ BS VI engine under the bonnet. The S 560 is priced at Rs 1.94 crore (ex-showroom, India). The new BS VI compliant V12 petrol engine makes 620bhp and 1000Nm of torque. It gets features including radar for driving assistance, multibeam LED head lamps, Magic Body Control that detects road unevenness in advance and adjusts the damping characteristics, panoramic sunroof and optional folding tables in the 4-seater limo. It also introduced a digital initiative ‘Ask Mercedes’, an Augmented Reality based chat-bot that provides answers to customers at any time via app, social media or other communication channels.

All of which will firmly undermine our ‘The Best Keeps Leading’ approach”.

Mercedes-Benz has sold over 15000 units in 2017, making it a market leader in luxury vehicles in India.
