It gets a slew of changes such as an updated instrument cluster which can now be tethered to your smartphone for added convenience. Here’s all that’s on offer on the new Versys 650.
2027 Kawasaki Versys 650 design and ergonomics
This mid-range Kawasaki dual-sport moto carries a familiar styling that we’ve come to expect from Kawasaki. The hallmark Versys traits being the upright seating position, with a forgiving yet commanding seat height of 845mm. Finished in ‘Candy Lime Green,’ it rolls on gloss-black 17-inch wheels shod in radial rubber.
2027 Kawasaki Versys 650 engine and chassis
Powering the Versys 650 is a 649cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin 4-stroke engine which is mated to a 6-speed transmission with return. It’s rated for a peak output of 66bhp at 8500rpm and 61Nm of torque at 7000rpm. Talking about the chassis, it’s constructed around a tubular diamond frame and it rolls on 17-inch wheels. Suspension duties are taken care of by 41mm front fork offering 150mm of wheel travel, while the rear offset monoshock allows for 145mm of wheel travel alongside remote spring preload adjustment. It also sports a touring-friendly 21-litre fuel tank.

The Versys 650 packs a long list of amenities like a four-position windshield/fly screen which can pivot up to 80mm in total and each position has a 27mm interval; wide rear seats with integrated passenger grips; all-LED lighting at both ends; a 4.3-inch colour TFT instrument cluster screen with the newly added smartphone connectivity. There’s also an assist and slipper clutch as well as a Kawasaki Traction Control system which offers a two-stage adjustment to better suit the riding environment.

The latest Versys 650 is launched at a starting price of ₹8.63 lakh (ex-showroom). Kawasaki says deliveries will start from the end of August, 2026.
