Benelli TRK 552 and TRK 552X launched, prices start from ₹7.22 lakh
A bigger 554 cc twin, a heated seat and grips on both bikes, and a taller 552X for riders who plan on going off-road

Benelli India has launched the TRK 552 and TRK 552X, with a bigger 554 cc engine, a new 5-inch TFT and a long list of touring kits for both bikes. The idea is that the TRK 552 is for riders who stick mostly to paved roads and long highway runs, and the 552X is for riders who want to go further off the beaten path.
Benelli TRK 552 and TRK 552X design and ergonomics
The Benelli TRK 552 is the road-biased motorcycle, sitting on 17-inch alloy wheels with a seat height of 835 mm and 190 mm of ground clearance, which should make it easy to live with in the city as well as on long highway trips. The Benelli TRK 552X goes the other way with a seat height of 860 mm and 210 mm of ground clearance, so it stands taller and is better suited for off-roading. Both bikes weigh 235 kg and get a heated seat and heated grips, newly designed double-threaded seats with extra padding, an adjustable handlebar, new hand guards and a 20-litre fuel tank, all aimed at making long days in the saddle a little less tiring. The new 5-inch TFT brings Bluetooth and navigation with turn-by-turn directions, offline maps and trackback, and with a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System fitted on both bikes, you also get alerts if the pressure drops somewhere it should not.
Benelli TRK 552 and TRK 552X chassis and suspension
Both the motorcycles are mechanically identical with a tubular steel trellis frame, an aluminium swingarm, a 50 mm Marzocchi USD fork up front and a rear monoshock with adjustable preload. Braking comes from twin 320mm floating discs at the front and a 260mm disc at the rear, with Bosch dual-channel ABS keeping things in check. The real difference between the Benelli TRK 552 and TRK 552X is in the wheels and tyres. The TRK 552 rolls on 17-inch alloys at both ends with Pirelli tyres, while the TRK 552X moves to a 19-inch front and 17 inch rear spoke wheel setup with Metzeler adventure tyres, the sort of arrangement you want if you plan to venture on unpaved roads.
Benelli TRK 552 and TRK 552X engine and performance
Both bikes share a new 554 cc liquid-cooled parallel twin, which produces 52 bhp at and 49Nm of torque, with a claimed top speed of 168kmph. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox, and both motorcycles are equipped with a slipper clutch.
Benelli TRK 552 and TRK 552X pricing
The Benelli TRK 552 is priced at ₹7.22 lakh (ex-showroom) in India, while the Benelli TRK 552X costs ₹7.74 lakh. There is also a TRK 552X Limited Edition priced at ₹7.90 lakh, and bookings are open now at authorised Benelli Keeway dealerships across India.
