Ducati has launched the Panigale V4 SP in India priced at Rs 36.07 lakh and is accepting bookings for the same. The Sports Production special is based on the V4 S but has packed many top-of-the-shelf components to reduce your lap time around a circuit. Let’s have a look at what the Panigale V4 SP packs.

Ducati Panigale V4 SP design

Designwise, the SP version is similar to the V4 S barring the colour scheme. To differentiate itself from other Panigales, the SP is shrouded in a bespoke matt black colour with red accents and an exposed brushed aluminium fuel tank. More black is added to the bike in the way of carbon fibre wings, front mudguard, heel guard, and open carbon dry clutch cover (optional). This style scheme is inspired by the ‘winter test’ livery that we see on the sacred WSBK and MotoGP race bikes from the constructor. It also gets a progressive serial number embossed on the handlebar.

Ducati Panigale V4 SP engine and chassis

The 1103cc Desmosedici Stradale engine with its high-end electronics is retained from the S variant. It produces 211bhp at 13000rpm and 124Nm at 9500rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox using the EVO-SBK dry clutch.

In terms of underpinnings, it retains the comprehensive Ohlins kit from the V4 S. It is suspended on the NIX-30 front forks with a steering damper and TTX36 rear shock absorber. And as we know it, this kit provides an array of configurability to suit the rider. While anchoring down the SP are the dual 330mm discs squeezed by the Brembo Stylema calipers with a self bleeding master cylinder up front while the rear uses a 245mm disc and dual-pot caliper with EVO cornering ABS, to save you if your tyres give in. Speaking of tyres, it comes with Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SPs which are shod over 17-inch Marchesini Forged Magnesium Wheels.

The electronic package is also high-end. The V4 SP has a 6-axis Bosch inertial platform which incorporates cornering ABS, traction control, slide control, power launch, bi-directional quickshifter, wheelie control, suspension and brake control. One can shuffle through these modes via a 5-inch TFT screen.

Ducati Panigale V4 SP price and availability

The V4 SP is a proper track tool and would set you back by Rs 36.07 lakh ex-showroom. And Ducati has said that the deliveries will begin immediately.
