Ducati brings its latest iteration of its flagship ‘sport cruiser’ to India in the form of the XDiavel V4. It gets a slew of upgrades such as its new 1158cc engine, reprofiled ergonomics, new electronics and TFT screen and some of these changes are said to be derived from the world of MotoGP.

The new XDiavel V4 gets refreshed full LED headlight with double-C DRL which gets a welcome animation. The rear too receives an LED tail light which also has the trick light effect, accompanied by integrated dynamic indicators as well as coming home function. It features two levels of adjustment for the rider’s footpegs offering a tailored riding position. There’s also a passenger grab handle supplied with the bike. Ergonomic improvements include a low seat height of 770mm and a rearset handlebar for better handling ability. The pillion seat also sees an increase of 30 per cent in width and 50 per cent in length. There’s now a 25mm thicker rear seat cushion as well. Ducati has made it available in two metallic paint options: Black Lava and Burning Red — is the first time this model is offered in a different shade of red than the classic, Ducati Red.

The engine is where Ducati has stayed close to its MotoGP roots. This XDiavel V4 is powered by a new 1158cc V4 Granturismo engine — its counter-rotating crankshaft is a race-spec part from the brand’s MotoGP machines. It is capable of producing a peak output of 165.7bhp at 10,750rpm and 126Nm of torque at 7500rpm. There’s also an enhanced cylinder deactivation system that allows for better heat management when riding in traffic. The Granturismo V4 continues to get a maintenance interval of 60,000km. This new sport cruiser has a kerb weight of 229kg shaving 6kg from the XDiavel 1260 S.

As for the chassis, it’s underpinned by an aluminium monocoque frame and has a 50mm fully adjustable fork upfront. The rear also has a fully adjustable monoshock, which works in tandem with an aluminium single-sided swingarm. Braking duties at the front are carried by dual 330mm discs and Brembo Stylema monobloc callipers. It has 17-inch cast aluminium wheels with a machined-spoke design and are wrapped in Diablo Rosso III rubber, wherein the rear tyre is a wide 240mm section with a 45mm profile.

There are a host of new features and electronics onboard the XDiavel V4. The new bike brings three power modes and four riding modes — Sport, Touring, Urban, and Wet. It also gets rider’s assistance systems such as Ducati Traction Control with Cornering ABS and Ducati Wheelie Control. Other rider aids include cruise control, Ducati Quick Shift and launch control. It gets a swanky array of backlit handlebar controls which is paired to an updated 6.9-inch TFT cluster which features a 8:3 aspect ratio which made its debut on the Panigale V4. Ducati has equipped this bike with Bluetooth connectivity for calls, messages and music. However, the turn-by-turn navigation function is an optional add-on on the Ducati Link App.

On top of the standard features and kit, Ducati has some optional accessories available in the Ducati Performance catalogue like the 48-litre panniers with a semi-rigid construction and gets body-coloured covers. Then there’s an optional plexiglass visor in two forms — Touring or Sport.

Additionally, it gets an optional Comfort seat, which offers a 15mm thicker seat foam with a premium seat cover. Inversely, the Italian moto-giant also has a 15mm lowered seat option, a single-seater tail fairing option, and a sportier exhaust with four titanium end caps. Apart from these, they also offer machined componentary, carbon parts and forged wheels to elevate the level of personalisation.

2026 XDiavel V4 price

The XDiavel V4 is the latest and greatest Diavel ever and the prices start from ₹30.89 lakh for the Burning Red colour variant, whereas the Black Lava colour variant is priced at ₹31.20 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom). It will face competition from rivals such as Triumph Rocket 3 Storm, priced from ₹24.03 lakh and BMW R18 Transcontinental prices for which start from ₹34.73 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom).
