Harley-Davidson X440 T: The new flagship flex
Hero and Harley add tech, style, and substance to the X440 lineup with the new top-spec T variant

Harley-Davidson X440 T launched at ₹2.79 lakh (ex-showroom)
Harley-Davidson and Hero MotoCorp have turned up the heat in the middleweight segment with their latest launch, the new H-D X440 T, priced at ₹2.79 lakh (ex-showroom). Sitting at the top of the X440 range, this new flagship brings a sharper look, smarter tech, and improved comfort to the co-developed cruiser.
What’s changed? Ride-by-wire technology, making its debut on this platform. With it come two riding modes – Road and Rain, along with switchable traction control and rear ABS, giving riders far better control in varied conditions. The tech package is rounded off with a Panic Braking Alert system, a thoughtful safety add-on for sudden stops. Under the skin, Harley’s and Hero’s engineers have reworked the rear subframe, leading to a new tail section and redesigned grab handles. These not only elevate the X440’s stance but also make life easier for the pillion.
The previously awkward rear gap has been neatly resolved, lending the bike a more cohesive, muscular profile. At 192kg, it's just 1.5kg heavier than before, hardly noticeable given the visual and functional benefits. Power continues to come from the familiar 440cc air/oil-cooled single, producing 27bhp and 38Nm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
Interestingly, the older Denim variant with spoke wheels has been discontinued, meaning all X440 models now ride on alloys. Bookings are now open, both online and at Harley-Davidson and Hero Premia dealerships.
