The Honda Rebel 500 has been launched in India
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has launched the Honda Rebel 500 in India and bookings for this cruiser motorcycle are now open at select BigWing Topline dealerships. Prices for the motorcycle start from ₹5.12 lakh (ex-showroom, Gurugram, Haryana) and the Rebel 500 will be available exclusively in the cities of Gurugram, Mumbai and Bengaluru, with deliveries to commence from June 2025.
Honda Rebel 500 design
The design of the Honda Rebel 500 seems to be inspired from that of retro cruiser motorcycles. Honda has followed a blacked-out aesthetic with the Rebel 500 and the motorcycle is available solely in the Standard variant with a Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic colour scheme. The Honda Rebel 500 is offered with seats for both a rider and pillion as standard and the seat height of 690mm is claimed to make the motorcycle easier to ride for riders of all shapes and sizes. The Rebel 500 gets a tubular steel frame, a steeply raked fuel tank and fat handlebars, along with all-LED lighting and a round headlight.
Honda Rebel 500 suspension, brakes and equipment
When it comes to the suspension, the Rebel 500 is underpinned by telescopic front forks along with Showa dual shock absorbers at the rear. Braking duties are handled by a 296mm disc at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear. The Rebel 500 is also equipped with dual-channel ABS. You get 16-inch wheels at the front and rear, wrapped in 130/90 R16 and 150/80 R16 Dunlop rubber, respectively. In terms of the equipment, the Honda Rebel 500 does come equipped with an inverted LCD display.

Powering the motorcycle is a 471cc liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, 8-valve parallel twin that produces 45bhp of power and 43.3Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and Honda claims that the Rebel 500’s powertrain characteristics have been focused on providing a ‘torque-heavy bottom-end, with smooth and linear delivery throughout the rev range.’
