At first glance, the X-ADV does look very rugged and futuristic but the overall silhouette continues to be identifiable as that of a maxi-scooter. The Honda comes equipped with dual LED headlights which have the DRLs and the turn indicators integrated within. The seat of the X-ADV has been reshaped to make it easier for a rider’s feet to reach the ground and underneath the seat is a 22-litre storage compartment which also houses a USB Type-C charging post. The X-ADV can be had with two colour options – Pearl Glare White and Graphite Black.
Honda X-ADV features and equipment
The X-ADV comes equipped with a 5-inch full-colour TFT display and it also gets the Honda RoadSync app connectivity – which provides the riders with call and SMS alerts, voice commands turn-by-turn navigation, the ability to control music when on the move. The Honda also gets ride-by-wire and four default riding modes – Standard, Sport, Rain, and Gravel – each of which adjust the power delivery, engine braking and traction control as per the rider’s needs. Apart from these riding modes, the User mode allows riders to customise the riding experience. The X-ADV is also equipped with the Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) and cruise control.
Honda X-ADV chassis, suspension and brakes
The X-ADV is based on a tubular steel frame and the suspension duties are handled by 41mm USD (upside down) forks at the front, with a spring preload adjustable monoshock doing duty at the rear. The X-ADV gets a 17-inch wheel at the front and a 15-inch wheel at the rear, both of which are wire-spoke wheels. The braking setup of the X-ADV includes dual radially mounted four-piston calipers and 296mm discs at the front, with a single piston caliper and a 240mm disc at the rear. The Honda also gets dual-channel ABS.
Honda X-ADV engine
Powering the Honda is a 745cc liquid-cooled SOHC 8-valve parallel-twin engine that produces 58bhp of power and 69Nm of torque. Honda claims that this engine is tuned to deliver strong low to mid-range performance. This engine is mated to Honda’s dual-clutch transmission.
