All new VLF Mobster 135 unveiled
A new scooter, the VLF Mobster 135, is set to reach showrooms this year. Positioned as an off-beat sporty urban commuter, it features rugged styling and aims to handle city streets as well as rougher paths. A host of segment-leading features and technology, like the engine, dual-channel ABS, twin rear shocks, switchable traction control, and a large fuel tank.
Engine and Performance
The Mobster 135 uses a 125cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 12.1 bph at 8,250 rpm and 11.7 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. It comes with a first-in-class infinitely variable transmission (IVT) and claims a top speed of 100 kmph. Fuel efficiency is rated at 46 kmpl with an 8-litre fuel tank.
Technology and Features
Standard fitment includes a 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, borrowed from the VLF Tennis, an illuminated keyless ignition, and all-LED lighting. The model is equipped with dual-channel switchable ABS and traction control, which are notable features for its class.
Suspension, Brakes, and Tyres
Suspension duties are handled by a telescopic front fork and gas-charged dual rear shocks.
Brakes include a 230mm front disc and a 220mm disc brake also in the rear, with twin piston callipers, both managed by the switchable ABS, which comes as standard. The scooter rides on 12-inch all-terrain tubeless tyres, supporting its rough-road aspirations. In the front, you get 120/70 R12 and in the rear, 130/70 R12. Both are tubeless.
Design and Variants
The Mobster 135 is available in four colour themes: Crimson Override, Ghostlight, Ash Circuit, and Neon Venom. The model's design highlights functional elements such as an aero shield, touring seat, and brake lever defenders. Key dimensions include a length of 1,873 mm, 746 mm width, and 1,120 mm height. Saddle height sits at 797 mm, allowing for a fairly approachable seat. Ground clearance is 155 mm, while kerb weight is 122 kg.
The VLF Mobster 135 is priced at ₹1.3 lakh, ex-showroom for the first 2500 customers. There will also be a 4 year 40,000km warranty and one year of RSA as standard. Bookings are open now and delivered are set to begin from November 2025.
