New Hero Maestro Edge 125 arrives, prices start from Rs 72,250

The Hero Maestro Edge 125 gets a nip-and-tuck job along with the addition of new technology

Hero MotoCorp has just launched the new 2021 Maestro Edge 125 at Rs 72,250, and while it remains mechanically unchanged, featuring the same engine and producing the same power figures as before, it now gets a new headlamp, a fully-digital instrument cluster, connected features, and new colour options. The new Maestro Edge 125 goes up against the likes of the Honda Grazia, TVS Ntorq, Yamaha Fascino 125, and the Suzuki Burgman Street.

The new Hero Maestro Edge 125 retains pretty much the same design as before, but it looks different from the front thanks to an all-new first-in-segment LED projector headlamp. The turn indicators are now smoked out while the body receives dual-tone stripe patterns along with the addition of two new colours; prismatic yellow and prismatic purple.

Apart from the LED projector headlamp, the Hero Maestro Edge 125 receives a host of new features such as side-stand engine cut-off. The instrument cluster is now fully digital and supports bluetooth connectivity while also featuring turn-by-turn navigation, and displaying information such as call alerts, real-time mileage indicator, ECO indicator, and low fuel warning. The Hero Connect app comes as standard and packs features such as live tracking, driving score, geo-fence alert, topple alert, and Hero locate. The app also enables you to set a speed limit which will alert you, while also helping you analyse your trip and it will also send you an SMS if it detects any unauthorized movement of the scooter.

The Hero Maestro Edge 125 remains unchanged in this regard, as it uses the same 125cc fuel-injected engine producing 9bhp and 10.4Nm of torque.

Hero MotoCorp offers the new Maestro Edge 125 in three different variants. The drum variant is priced at Rs 72,250 (ex-showroom), while the disc variant can be had for Rs 76,500 (ex-showroom), and the range-topping connected variant is priced at Rs 79,750 (ex-showroom). The new Maestro Edge 125 is priced similarly to the Yamaha Fascino, TVS Ntorq, Yamaha Ray, and the Honda Grazia. The Yamaha Fascino and TVS Ntorq received significant upgrades recently, and it will be interesting to see how things unfold with the Hero Maestro Edge 125 coming after them.
