No GST hike for Triumph and KTM bikes
Bajaj has announced that it will bear the GST hike amount for Triumph and KTM’s 350cc-plus made-in-India bikes

Bajaj says no to GST hike for made-in-India Triumph and KTM bikes
Two of India’s top motorcycle brands, Triumph and KTM, have announced they will keep prices the same for their popular 400cc and 390cc models, absorbing the impact of the increase in prices from the recent GST increase for bikes above 350cc. This means riders do not have to pay more for these motorcycles at this time. Recently, the Goods and Service Tax rate on motorcycles over 350cc was raised from 28 per cent to 40 per cent, increasing the cost of these motorcycles.
This step was taken so that people are not discouraged from owning these motorcycles due to higher prices. The Triumph motorcycles included in this announcement are the Speed 400, Speed T4, Scrambler 400 X, and Thruxton 400. KTM is holding prices steady for the 390 Duke, 390 Adventure, and RC 390.
Speaking on the announcement, Manik Nangia, President, Probiking Business Unit, Bajaj Auto Ltd, said, “KTM has always stood for accessible, performance-driven motorcycling, and we love the fact that more than half a million customers trust us and spread the enthusiasm for performance motorcycling — they are our true advocates and flag bearers. By keeping ex-showroom prices unchanged on our 390cc plus range and passing on the benefits of GST reduction on the 160 Duke, 200 Duke, 250 Duke, and more, we reaffirm our commitment to motorcycling. At the same time, the Triumph 400cc platform has set new benchmarks in performance, design, and value. Even with the GST increase, we wanted to ensure that riding enthusiasts are not discouraged by higher costs. By holding prices steady, Triumph and Bajaj Auto together are taking this step in the interest of customers, once again reaffirming our commitment to growing the Triumph brand and strengthening performance motorcycling in India.”
Triumph and KTM riders won’t see a price hike for the 400cc and 390cc models. The brands hope this move keeps buyers interested and momentum maintained through the festive season, even after the GST rise.
