Norton Motorcycles to Enter India by late 2025!
Backed by the India-UK FTA, TVS Motor Company to launch Norton Motorcycles in the Indian market

Norton Motorcycles will officially enter the Indian market by the end of 2025, TVS Motor Company has confirmed. The launch will be supported by the newly signed India-UK Free Trade Agreement (FTA), which significantly lowers import duties and opens the door for international products.
What is India-UK FTA?
The new India-UK Free Trade Agreement (FTA) is a bilateral trade deal aimed at reducing import duties and boosting economic cooperation. A key highlight of the FTA is that it cuts import duties on goods like cars and motorcycles from over 100% to just 10%, creating a more accessible environment for foreign brands. This could significantly cut prices of UK imports, opening up access for a larger customer base. The agreement also ensures broader market access across sectors, with special focus on labour-intensive industries such as engineering goods, auto components, engines, and organic chemicals.
Following this agreement, Mr. Sudarshan Venu, Managing Director, TVS Motor Company added “We applaud our PM’s vision to enhance India’s trade links globally. It creates large opportunities for Indian companies like ours to expand further and access new markets. We really appreciate the effort taken by the Government to make this historic India-UK Free Trade Agreement. Our British brand Norton will launch later this year and this agreement will help us scale faster and leverage common supply chains. We are excited as we further progress towards Viksit Bharat.”
