The Apache RTX 300 marks TVS Motor Company's entry to the ADV bike segment with prices starting from ₹1.99 lakh
TVS Motor Company has at last made their ADV bike debut with the launch of the Apache RTX 300 at an introductory price of ₹1.99 lakh. This bike also debuts the new RT-XD4 engine that was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Show this year.
TVS Apache RTX 300 design
The Apache RTX 300 carries TVS’ signature DNA seen in the RTR range but now in an ADV-style package. TVS has employed a typical ‘mono-volume design’ that translates to the seamlessness of the headlight cluster and the fuel tank surfaces. It sports front DRL blades and levitating main beam reflectors and along with similarly styled tail lamp blades at the rear. There’s also a GIVI top box and side panniers available as optional extras. The RTX 300 comes in five colours — Viper Green, Metallic Blue, Pearl White, Lightning Black and Tarn Bronze, all paint schemes get contrasting Apache Red accents.
TVS Apache RTX 300 features and equipment
The RTX 300 has features like speed dependent dynamic intensity control for the headlights, a 5-inch TFT display with turn-by-turn navigation and 5-way Bluetooth connectivity and four ride modes — Urban, Rain, Tour and Rally. Equipment-wise, it gets ride-by wire throttle, an assist and slipper clutch that can also be optioned with a bi-directional quickshifter. TPMS is also available with the BTO kit. Additionally, it has cruise control, traction control, wheelie mitigation and terrain-adaptive ABS.
TVS Apache RTX 300 engine and chassis
The RTX 300 is powered by a 299.1cc DOHC, liquid-cooled RT-XD4 engine that gets dual oil pumps, dual jacket cooling and dual separator breather for optimal cooling. It produces 35.5bhp at 9000rpm and 28.5Nm at 7000rpm. This ADV has a six-speed transmission and steel trellis frame. Suspension duties are carried out by a USD fork with 180mm of travel at both ends and that along with the 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels lend the bike with 200mm of ground clearance. The bike tips the scales at 180kg with the 12.5-litre tank filled.

TVS Apache RTX 300 price and rivals
The TVS Apache RTX 300 has been launched at an introductory starting price of ₹1.99 lakh for the base variant, while the top variant is priced at ₹2.14 lakh and the BTO (built-to-order) model with adjustable suspension, brass coated chain and TPMS can be had for ₹2.29 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom). It will compete with popular ADVs such as KTM 250 Adventure priced at ₹2.4 lakh, Suzuki V-Strom SX 250 starts at ₹2 lakh and the Yezdi Adventure starts at ₹1.98 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom).
