Yamaha recalls FZ 25 and Fazer-25

The precautionary recall has been undertaken to address an issue related to loose engine head bolt       

Yamaha India has issued a precautionary recall for the FZ 25 and Fazer 25 to address an issue of loose engine head bolt. This has affected 13,348 units, of which 12,620 units are of the FZ 25 and 728 are of Fazer 25.

The motorcycles affected are manufactured from June 2018. Yamaha will be repairing these bikes free of cost at any authorised dealership and the owners will be contacted individually.

Earlier this year, Yamaha updated the FZ 25 and Fazer 25 with dual-channel ABS. The FZ 25 carries a price tag of Rs 1.36 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) while the Fazer 25 will cost you Rs. 14.44 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Both the bikes are yet to receive BS-VI updates. The only Yamaha bikes that are BS-VI compliant, as of now are FZ-FI and FZS-FI which were launched this week.
