Zontes announces price cuts for 2024
Chinese brand Zontes has announced reduced prices for four models effective January 17, 2024. The new prices apply to the 350R, 350X, 350T, and 350T-ADV. All of the aforementioned bikes are powered by a 348cc liquid-cooled DOHC single-cylinder engine making 39bhp at 9500rpm and 32.8 Nm at 7500rpm through a 6-speed gearbox.
Zontes 350R
The Zontes 350R now costs Rs 2.79 lakh, which makes it Rs 46,000 more affordable in 2024. The 350R is a modern street naked motorcycle with a wheelbase of 1380mm, seat height of 795mm, and ground clearance of 152mm. It gets 17-inch front and rear alloys wearing 120/70 front and 160/60 rear tyres with 320mm front and 265mm rear disc brakes standard.
Zontes 350X
The Zontes 350X now costs Rs 2.99 lakh, which makes it Rs 46,000 more affordable in 2024. The 350X is a sport touring motorcycle with a wheelbase of 1380mm, seat height of 795mm, and ground clearance of 152mm. It gets 17-inch front and rear alloys wearing 120/70 front and 160/60 rear tyres with 320mm front and 265mm rear disc brakes standard.
Zontes 350T
The Zontes 350T now costs Rs 2.99 lakh, which makes it Rs 48,000 more affordable in 2024. The 350T is an ADV motorcycle with a wheelbase of 1420mm, seat height of 830mm, and ground clearance of 173mm. It gets 17-inch front and rear alloys wearing 120/70 front and 160/60 rear tyres with 320mm front and 265mm rear disc brakes.
Zontes 350T-ADV
The Zontes 350T-ADV now costs Rs 3.25 lakh, which makes it Rs 42,000 more affordable in 2024. The 350T-ADV is also an ADV motorcycle but features some differences from the 350T. It gets 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloys wearing 110/80 front and 160/60 rear tyres with 320mm front and 265mm rear disc brakes. The 1420mm wheelbase, 830mm seat height, and 173mm ground clearance remain unchanged.
Zontes is a Chinese brand that hasn’t really gained traction in India the way the company would have hoped. The high prices and a not so strong dealer and service network large enough to compete with established players remains one of Zontes’ weaknesses. However, Zontes will be looking to make up for that with their aggressive new pricing strategy. Whether it does the trick and brings Zontes more success, only time will tell.
