Mahindra XUV700: Full model lineup prices revealed, bookings to open on October 7

With these prices, the Mahindra XUV700 is certainly taking the fight to the competition!

Mahindra unveiled the XUV700 last month and we were very impressed with how the SUV rivalling the Tata Safari, MG Hector and the Hyundai Alcazar drove – with us even calling it a “game changer” for Mahindra. While the company had only announced the launch prices for select variants of the XUV when we drove it, Mahindra has now revealed the pricing for all variants in the XUV700 lineup, with bookings starting from October 7.

Mahindra XUV700 variants and features

Mahindra has a wide range of variants for the XUV700, ensuring that buyers can choose from a wide range of budgets and powertrain options:

MX Series

The entry-level MX series of the XUV700 gets the 2-litre 197bhp turbo-petrol while the 2.2-litre diesel motor produces 152.8bhp (less than the AX series), with both getting the manual transmission. It also gets an 8-inch touchscreen for infotainment with Android Auto, along with a 7-inch instrument cluster. The MX also features Mahindra’s smart door handles, though they are not electrically deployed on this variant. The MX is available only as a 5-seater the prices are:

MX petrol: Rs 11.99 lakh
MX diesel: Rs 12.49 lakh

AdrenoX Series

The AdrenoX series consists of the AX3, AX5 and AX7 variants, and moves the XUV700 into a more premium space. To start with, the drivetrains are the same. You get the 2-litre mStallion turbo-petrol from the MX making the same outputs, while the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine makes 182.4 bhp in the AX series cars. Both engines get the option of an automatic as well. Let’s take a look at the variant break-up and prices.

AX3
The AX3 is the entry level AX car, and gets a 10.25-inch screen for infotainment along with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The AX3 also gets Amazon Alexa built in, with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, and 70 connected car features. The diesel manual variant of the AX3 can also be had with a 7-seater, and upgrading it will cost you Rs 60,000 over the ex-showroom price. Here’s the price list of the AX3 variants:

AX3 petrol MT: Rs 13.99 lakh

AX3 petrol AT: Rs 15.59 lakh

AX3 diesel MT: Rs 14.59 lakhs

AX3 diesel MT 7-seater: Rs 15.19

AX3 diesel AT: Rs 16:19 lakh

AX5
The AX5 variant adds on more equipment over the AX3, in the form of 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, curtain airbags, a sunroof, and LED headlamps with a cornering function. All variants of the AX5, except for the petrol automatic, can be specced as a 7-seater at Rs 60,000 over the ex-showroom prices. The prices of the AX5 are:

AX5 petrol MT: Rs 14.99 lakh

AX 5 petrol MT 7-seater: Rs 15.59 lakh

AX5 petrol AT: Rs. 16.59 lakh

AX 5 diesel MT: Rs 15.59 lakh

AX 5 diesel MT 7-seater: Rs 16.19 lakh

AX 5 diesel AT: Rs 17.19 lakkh

AX 5 diesel AT 7-seater: Rs 17.79 lakh

AX7 Series

The AX7 variants of the XUV are the top-spec variants available with kit such as Level 1 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), a driver drowsiness alert, an air filter for the interior, dual zone automatic climate control, 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, leatherette seats with 6-way power adjust and memory, side airbags and a leather steering wheel and gear lever. The AX7 can be further kitted out with a number of features with the optional Luxury Pack for Rs 1.8 lakh. This pack includes a 3D Sony sound system, 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring, electronic parking brake and wireless charging. The AX7 diesel automatic is the only variant in the entire line up that is available with AWD and will cost Rs 1.3 lakh more.

AX petrol AT Luxury pack: Rs 20.99 lakh

At these prices, the Mahindra XUV700 is certainly tackling a wide range of rivals – including the Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Hector, MG Astor and the Hyundai Alcazar.
