Renault Kiger gets a new RXT(O) variant
Renault India marks a decade of operation in India by introducing a new variant of its compact-SUV, the Kiger. The variant, called RXT (O), slots in between the range topping RXZ and the mid-spec RXT offering a number of features that were previously only available on the top-spec trim, at a more affordable price. As part of its tenth anniversary celebrations, Renault will also be offering attractive schemes and promotions to existing and potential customers.
In the new RXT(O) trim, you get features like 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and the LED headlamps, which were earlier present only on the RXZ trim. You also get the dual-tone Radiant Red colour, which was previously available solely on the RXZ trim. The Kiger also gets a PM2.5 Advanced Atmospheric Filter, ensuring the presence of good quality air inside the cabin. This RXT(O) variant will only be available with the 1-litre naturally-aspirated engine of the Kiger, with the choice of a five-speed manual or five-speed AMT gearbox.
The prices for the existing RXT variant, with the naturally-aspirated engine and a manual gearbox start at Rs 7.01 lakh, while prices for the top-spec RXZ start at Rs 7.91 lakh. The new RXT(O) variant with its additional features, will likely be priced between these two variants.
Renault India has also announced its ‘Freedom Carnival’ from August 6-15, providing additional benefits to customers booking their cars in this ten day period. In addition to this, Renault has also announced the ‘Buy Now, Pay in 2022’ scheme for the purchase of the Kwid, Triber and Kiger, where customers can start paying their EMIs after six months. The ‘Freedom Carnival’ offers will be available across India, except the states of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa and Kerala – as the company will be offering specific offers in these states, providing benefits upto Rs 90,000 on account of the festive season that is coming up soon.
