Skoda launches the Slavia Matte Edition at ₹15.52 lakh

Matte finishes are currently in vogue, and Skoda has seized this opportunity with the introduction of the Slavia Matte Edition. Volkswagen recently began offering the Virtus GT Edge in a matte finish, however that can only be paired with the 1.5 TSI engine. Skoda has taken a different approach by making the Matte Edition available with both the base 1.0 TSI engine and the 1.5 TSI. The Matte Edition is based on the range-topping Style variant and is priced at a premium of ₹40,000.

True to its name, the Skoda Slavia Matte Edition is painted in Carbon Steel Grey in a matte finish. The wing mirrors, B-pillar trim, and door handles get a gloss black treatment. To break the darkness, touches of chrome adorn the door trim and grille, while diamond-cut 16-inch wheels provide a contrast.

The interior of the Skoda Slavia Matte Edition remains unchanged and retains the familiar black and beige theme. Notably, the Style variant has received recent upgrades, including electrically adjustable front seats, a 10-inch infotainment system featuring wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and an enhanced sound system with an amplifier and subwoofer. These features are standard on the Matte Edition as well.

The Skoda Slavia Matte Edition is available with all four engine and gearbox combinations, with prices starting at ₹15.52 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 1.0 TSI manual and going up to ₹19.12 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-end 1.5 TSI with the DSG.
