Tata Harrier Camo Edition launched at Rs 16.5 lakh
Comes in green colour along with subtle tweaks both on the inside and outside
Paying homage to the armed forces, Tata Motors has launched the Tata Harrier Camo, a special edition, starting at 16.50 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). It comes with plenty of military themed bits on the outside and various accessories for the interior as well. The Camo edition is available with manual transmission from XT variant onwards, and with automatic transmission from XZ variant onwards.
On the outside, it gets a camouflage-ish green colour with redesigned 17-inch alloys to make it look really butch and rugged. The interiors now get a combination of black seats with green stitching along with Blackstone Matrix dashboard and gun-metal grey interiors to accentuate the Camo theme. Apart from that, there are two accessories packages on offer for additional charges starting at Rs 26,999 named Camo Stealth and Camo Stealth Plus. These add special Camo graphics, a Harrier bonnet mascot, roof rails, side steps and front parking sensors. The interiors get a back seat organiser, sun shades, designer 3D moulded mats, 3D trunk mats and anti-skid dash mat and the scuff plates now bear the name of the platform.
Commenting on the launch of this latest edition, Mr. Vivek Srivatsa, Head, Marketing, Passenger Vehicles Business Unit, Tata Motors said, “Living up to our promise of New Forever, we are delighted to introduce an absolutely stunning rendition of our Flagship SUV- The Harrier Camo Edition. The Harrier, in its Camo avatar pays homage to the ultimate inspiration of this SUV i.e the Great Indian Outdoors, and the spirit & grit of the armed forces who spend a majority of their time in these outdoor locations, keeping our borders safe and secure. We are confident our customers will appreciate the strong, unique form of the Harrier, rendered even more robustly in the Camo Edition, this festive season.”
The whole theme Tata was after has been carried out well with attention to detail on various aspects like the optional scuff plate design and the option to choose from the two accessories package as well. Tata has already been on a roll this festive season when it comes to their sales figures. With the launch of the Harrier Camo edition, Tata will be looking to boost those numbers by banking on a known fact — a buyer’s sentiments towards our armed forces.
