Updated Tata Tigor EV gets launched at ₹12.49 lakh
Tata Motors has been doubling down on updating its EV offerings, thanks to their massive popularity. First was the Nexon EV, which got a long-range version in the form of the Nexon EV Max, and the standard Nexon EV also received an update in the form of the Prime variant, which received more kit. Now the Tigor EV follows in the footsteps of the latter, with an updated variant being launched. The prices start from ₹12.49 lakh going all the way up to ₹13.75 lakh (ex-showroom), and the Tigor EV now gets more range and tweaks to the styling.
Tata Tigor EV powertrain
The biggest upgrade that the Tiago has received is the increased range which stands at an ARAI claimed 315km, which is 9km more than the before. The new four-level regenerative braking helps to harness the energy generated during braking to charge the batteries. The Tigor EV gets the same 26kWh liquid-cooled battery pack as before, and the motor continues to produce the same outputs as before, at 74bhp of power and 170Nm of torque. Like before, the battery is also capable of charging from 0-80 per cent in just 60 minutes using a fast charger
Tata Tigor EV design and interior:
On the design front, the Tata Tigor EV remains the same identical to the earlier model, but you now get a new colour option called Magnetic Red. Other new features include cruise control, a tyre pressure monitoring system and smartwatch-integrated connectivity features. Existing Tigor EV customers will also get a free-of-cost software update starting December 20 that will include features such as multi-mode regenerative braking and iTPMS along with a tyre puncture repair kit.
