Tata Sierra EV's QWD is priced at ₹26 lakh (ex-showroom), only in the top-spec variant with a 75kWh battery pack

Tata Motors has launched its second, but much awaited electric mid-size SUV contender, Sierra EV to sit alongside the Harrier EV. From the face of this derivative of the Sierra, it gets a unique nose as opposed to the ICE model. The base, Pure variant has been priced at ₹18.79 lakh (ex-showroom). Its highest capacity battery option delivers 665km of claimed range, and it doesn’t compromise on performance and is said to be capable of doing a 0 to 100kmph sprint in merely 5.8 seconds. Here’s a quick rundown of everything offered with the Tata Sierra EV.

2026 Tata Sierra EV design

The Sierra EV’s form and aesthetics largely remain intact from the ICE variant – same wheelbase of 2730mm, 19-inch machined alloy wheels, and even the ground clearance is the same at 205mm. The only difference on the exterior is its nose, which Tata Motors have chosen to give a body-coloured treatment while of course blanking it off. The Sierra EV is available in 7 paint choices – Andaman Adventure, Bengal Rouge, Coorg Clouds, Nainital Nocturne, Pristine White, Pure Grey and Rishikesh Rapid.

2026 Tata Sierra EV cabin and features

Similarly, the cabin also retains a majority of the amenities from its ICE derivative and carries over an array of triple screens – a pair of 12.3-inch screens for the centre and passenger along with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster for the driver. It still has the crowd’s favourite panoramic sunroof as well as powered and ventilated and powered front seats, a 540-degree camera, 12-speaker JBL speaker system with Dolby Atmos and ambient lighting. It’s also equipped with an AR head-up display (HUD) Level 2 ADAS, auto-park assist and 6 terrain modes.

2026 Tata Sierra EV battery, range and performance

It’s built on the same Acti.ev+ architecture (same as the Harrier EV) and is available in two battery sizes – 75kWh pack offering 665km of claimed range and a 65kWh pack with a claimed range of 565km range. As standard, the Sierra EV comes in a RWD configuration but it can also be had with QWD (AWD) setup exclusively paired to the larger, 75kWh battery pack. It supports fast charging via a compatible DC charger delivering 20 to 80 per cent of battery juice in about 26 minutes and can make available a range of 263km in 15 minutes in a pinch. On the performance front, Tata Motors claims that it’s capable of sprinting from 0 to 100kmph in 5.8 seconds flat. We will do a proper VBOX test in our first drive review, to see if this claim holds true.
