Ferrari 849 Testtarossa with 1036bhp

Ferrari has introduced the 849 Testarossa, a new hybrid supercar that replaces the SF90 Stradale at the top of its lineup. The name ‘Testarossa’ is one of Ferrari’s most iconic badges, first seen on race cars and later on a famous road car in the 1980s. This new model blends the rich history of the Testarossa name with the latest hybrid technology to deliver outstanding performance and style.

Ferrari 849 Testarossa powertrain

At the heart of the 849 Testarossa is a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 819bhp(+49bhp over the SF90’s engine), and 842Nm. This V8 has undergone extensive reworking, and features larger turbochargers, enhanced cooling, and numerous racing-inspired modifications to increase its strength and responsiveness. Along with the engine, there’s three electric motors that make a total of 217bhp. Two electric motors are located on the front axle, giving the car all-wheel-drive capability, while the third motor is on the rear axle.

The combined power output is a staggering 1036bhp. This setup is backed by a 7.45 kWh battery that allows the car to drive about 25 km on electric power alone. The engine is mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Despite the increase in power, Ferrari has managed to keep the 849 Testarossa’s weight the same as the SF90—about 1570 kilograms, thanks to lightweight materials and smart engineering. The suspension has been fine-tuned to improve grip and reduce body roll, helping the car stay balanced and responsive. The braking system has also been upgraded with larger discs and better cooling, allowing for consistent and powerful stopping.

The car produces 415 kilograms of downforce at 250kmph, an increase over the SF90, which helps it stay glued to the road at high speeds. Also gets active aerodynamic elements like an adjustable rear spoiler.

Ferrari 849 Testarossa exterior

The design of the 849 Testarossa is inspired by Ferrari’s race cars from the 1970s, especially the famous 512 models. The sharp lines and sculpted surfaces give the car an aggressive yet timeless look, while features like large side air intakes and the distinctive twin-tail exhausts make it unmistakably a Ferrari.

Inside, the car features a modern and minimalistic cockpit designed to put the driver first. The dashboard has clean lines with digital displays and a floating design. The steering wheel includes traditional Ferrari controls plus the new e-Manettino dial to switch between driving modes, including fully electric mode. The cabin offers wireless phone charging, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto for convenience. Drivers can choose between comfortable luxury seats or lightweight racing seats, depending on their preference.

The Ferrari 849 Testarossa combines historic Ferrari tradition with modern hybrid technology. It offers incredible power, advanced handling, and unique styling all wrapped in a single car. This model sets a new standard for what a hybrid Ferrari can be—exciting, luxurious, and connected.
