Honda Cars India Ltd has launched the first update to its mid-size SUV, the Honda Elevate, in the form of a facelift. The updates to the Elevate facelift are mostly cosmetic and include feature enhancements, and prices for the SUV start from ₹11.80 lakh.

The Honda Elevate’s exterior has been refreshed to deliver a more rugged and confident stance and this includes the redesigned fascia which introduces an all-new mesh grille with gloss black upper-moulding grille and lower front garnish. The Honda ‘H’ mark has been repositioned on top of the bonnet and the tri-bar LED position lights further elevate the Elevate’s appearance. The SUV also gets a gloss black treatment for the lower front, side and fender garnishes, along with a gloss black garnish for the rear lower bumper. The roof rail colour has also been updated, as are the 17-inch dual-tone Milling Alloy wheels in Berlina Black and Dark Clear finish. The car also gets a connected LED tail lamp and a new colour option – Nordic Forest Pearl in both single and dual-tone colour options – in addition to six other colours.

The interior of the Elevate has been updated with a dual-tone ivory and black cabin with soft-touch finishes and ambient lighting in an active orange colour scheme. The cabin is further enhanced with premium touch cabin lights, an illuminated passenger-side vanity mirror, front and rear ventilated seats, along with premium leather upholstery, 8-way driver and 4-way front passenger power-adjustable seats and a one-touch electric sunroof. Other additions to the equipment list include a 360-degree camera, front and parking sensors, a 7-inch HD full-colour TFT multi-information display with premium white-on-black graphics and a floating 10.25-inch floating infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The tech package is further complemented by front and rear USB Type-C charging ports, a PM2.5 Air-Quality Display with Auto Clean Air Function, Electrostatic touch controls and an 8-speaker Premium Surround System with four speakers and four tweeters, enhancing convenience, connectivity and the overall in-cabin experience.

Honda Elevate facelift engine

Mechanically, the Elevate remains unchanged, being solely powered by a 1.5-litre i-VTEC DOHC petrol engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed CVT. The naturally-aspirated petrol engine produces 119bhp of power and 145Nm of torque.

Honda Elevate facelift pricing and rivals

The facelifted Honda Elevate will be available in five variants – SV, V, VX, ZX and ZX+ with the manual transmission, and four variants – V, VX, ZX and ZX+ with the CVT transmission, with prices ranging from ₹11.80 lakh to ₹18.40 lakh for the top-spec variant. In terms of rivals, it continues to go against the might of the mid-size SUV segment including the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Victoris as well as the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.
