JLR India slashes prices of Range Rover SV twins ahead of India-UK FTA

Jaguar Land Rover India has announced a substantial repricing of its flagship SV models. This comes in anticipation of the upcoming India–UK Free Trade Agreement (FTA), with benefits being passed directly to customers.

Range Rover SV and Sport SV get massive price cuts

The biggest highlight of this announcement is the sharp reduction in prices for the top-tier SV models. Range Rover SV, ₹4.25 crore to ₹3.5 crore and the Range Rover Sport SV: ₹2.75 crore to ₹2.35 crore. That’s a price drop of up to ₹75 lakh, making these ultra-exclusive SUVs significantly more accessible.

The repricing is linked directly to the anticipated implementation of the India–UK FTA, which is expected to reduce import duties on Completely Built Units (CBUs) coming from the UK. Since both SV models are imported from the UK, they benefit from this revised duty structure. The new pricing is effective immediately, even ahead of the formal rollout of the agreement.

Range Rover SV now gets more value, not just lower prices

JLR isn’t just cutting prices, it’s also sweetening the deal. The Range Rover SV now comes with SV Ultra Metallic paint options (Gloss and Satin) as standard, enhancing its exclusivity and visual appeal without added cost.

Range Rover SV and Sport SV price change, here’s what remains unchanged?

Not all JLR models are affected by this update. Locally assembled models such as the Range Rover Evoque, Range Rover Velar, and Discovery Sport will see no price changes, as they are already manufactured in India. Meanwhile, the Defender and Discovery remain unaffected since they are built in Slovakia, and don’t fall under the India–UK FTA scope.
