Kia Carens CNG, Carens Clavis CNG and Carnival Limousine Hybrid pre-bookings open in India
Kia expands its multi-powertrain portfolio with factory-fitted CNG versions of the Carens and Carens Clavis, while the Carnival Limousine gets a hybrid powertrain.
Kia India has opened pre-bookings for the Carens CNG, Carens Clavis CNG and Carnival Limousine Hybrid, adding new powertrain choices across its three-row portfolio. The Carens and Carens Clavis now get factory-fitted CNG options based on the 1.5-litre petrol engine, while the Carnival Limousine moves towards electrification with a 1.6-litre turbo-hybrid powertrain. Prices for all three models will be announced soon.
Kia Carens CNG and Carens Clavis CNG get factory-fitted 60-litre tanks
Both the Kia Carens CNG and Carens Clavis CNG use the G1.5 petrol engine paired with a six-speed manual gearbox and a factory-fitted 60-litre CNG tank. Kia has also made changes beyond simply installing the CNG hardware, with CNG-specific engine calibration, modified suspension, 16-inch wheels and 16-inch disc brakes. The package also includes a dedicated fuel-change switch and a 4.2-inch colour TFT MID with CNG distance-to-empty logic. The Carens CNG will be offered in Premium (O) G1.5 6MT guise, while the Carens Clavis CNG will be available in HTE and HTE (O) G1.5 6MT trims. Kia will also offer separate variants aimed at B2B and commercial mobility customers.
Kia Carnival Limousine Hybrid brings electrification to the premium MPV
The Kia Carnival Limousine Hybrid will be offered exclusively in Limousine+ G1.6T HEV 6AT specification, bringing a hybrid option to Kia’s premium MPV range. The hybrid continues to focus heavily on rear-seat comfort and equipment, while adding features such as 18-inch Crystal Cut dual-tone aero alloy wheels, Active Air Flaps and a Virtual Engine Sound System. Inside, the Carnival Hybrid gets a Smart Pure Air Purifier with AQI display, retractable height-adjustable seat-back tables with wireless charging, monotone ambient lighting and leatherette-wrapped door trims.

Pre-bookings for the Kia Carens CNG, Carens Clavis CNG and Carnival Limousine Hybrid are now open through Kia India’s authorised dealer network. Kia has not yet revealed prices for the three new variants, with an announcement expected soon.
