Mahindra XUV 7XO launched at ₹13.66 lakh (ex-showroom)
Mahindra’s popular flagship SUV receives a modern, EV-inspired makeover with new features, a triple-screen cabin, and upgraded comfort. Will be available in 6 variants and deliveries to begin from the 14th of January.
Mahindra XUV 7XO Exterior
The Mahindra XUV 7XO is here, and while it builds on the strong foundation of the XUV700, it carries a sharper, more futuristic look. The SUV borrows design inspiration from Mahindra’s electric lineup with the XEV 9S, featuring boomerang-shaped DRLs, new trapezoidal LED headlamps, and LED tail-lamps with hexagonal detailing. The side profile stays familiar, but fresh alloy wheel options and a redesigned rear bumper give it a distinct new identity.
Mahindra XUV 7XO Interior
Step inside, and the XUV 7XO feels like a tech lounge on wheels. The highlight is a new triple-screen layout, one each for the driver, infotainment, and front passenger. A two-spoke steering wheel, new dual-tone interiors, and a sleek touch-based climate control panel further elevate the premium feel. Mahindra has packed in feature comforts too, a large panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, Boss mode for the front passenger seat, dual-zone climate control, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon system with Dolby Atmos, and wireless charging.
Mahindra XUV 7XO Safety
Safety continues to be a top priority. The SUV gets a 540-degree surround camera, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, and ISOFIX mounts. Mahindra’s Level 2 ADAS package remains on board, offering adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and autonomous emergency braking. While the XUV700 already boasted a 5-star Global NCAP rating, Mahindra says the new 7XO is engineered to meet Bharat NCAP standards at the same level.
Mahindra XUV 7XO Engine
Under the hood, Mahindra hasn’t fixed what wasn’t broken. The XUV 7XO retains the same 197bhp, 2.0L turbo-petrol and 185hp, 2.2L diesel engines, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The diesel variants continue to offer all-wheel drive on the higher trims. Mahindra has, however, fine-tuned the suspension setup for a smoother and more composed ride.
Mahindra XUV 7XO Variants and Price
The 7XO will be available in 6 variants- AX, AX3, AX5, AX7, AX7T and AX7L. The ex-showroom price for the same are as follows- AX at ₹13.66 lakh, AX3 at ₹16.02 lakh to ₹16.49 lakh, AX5 at ₹17.52 lakh to ₹17.99 lakh, AX7 starts at ₹18.48 lakh and AX7L starts at ₹24.11 lakh.
The refreshed XUV 7XO targets familiar rivals; the Hyundai Alcazar, and MG Hector Plus, but with its EV-inspired styling, triple-screen tech, and enhanced comfort, Mahindra’s latest update looks set to shake up the premium SUV space once again.
