Maruti Suzuki has opened bookings for the XL6 premium MPV

Maruti Suzuki has opened bookings for the XL6 premium MPV at NEXA showrooms across the country. The XL6, which is based on the brand’s Ertiga MPV, will be powered by the BS-6 compliant K15 petrol engine that will also be offered with Smart Hybrid technology. The XL6 will be offered across two variant levels with a choice of manual and automatic transmissions.

About the openings of bookings and the impending market launch of the XL6, Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director, Marketing and Sales, Maruti Suzuki India said, " The XL6 is an exclusive six-seater premium MPV which is high on comfort and convenience along with an array of safety features. The XL6 will further strengthen our Nexa products portfolio and provide our customers with a range of products from hatchbacks, Sedan, SUV and now a premium MPV at Nexa. We hope our customers enjoy the experience of our latest offering."

Conceptualised on the fifth-generation Heartect chassis platform that prioritises weight-reduction without loss of sturdiness, the XL6 comes equipped with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, front seatbelts with pre-tensioner and force limiter as well as driver/co-driver seat belt reminder, ISOFIX, Hill Hold Assist, ESP, high speed warning alert and reverse parking sensors as a standard fitment.

As regards to the interiors, the XL6 has been positioned as a more upscale version of the Ertiga, with features like second-row captain seats and SmartPlay Studio with seamless smartphone connectivity.
