Rolls-Royce has launched the Black Badge Spectre in India and prices for the electric luxury car start from ₹9.5 crore. The Black Badge Spectre is the most powerful model in Rolls-Royce history, producing 650bhp of power and 1075Nm of torque.
Rolls-Royce Black Badge Spectre design and styling
The Black Badge Spectre wears a Vapour Violet paint scheme that is claimed to be inspired by the neon ambience of the 1980s and 1990s club culture. This Rolls-Royce also gets a painted Iced Black bonnet, which contrasts with the paint scheme of the car. As always, Rolls-Royce customers can always develop a bespoke hue for their Black Badge Spectre. The luxury EV is equipped with 23-inch five-spoke forged aluminium alloy wheels, which are available in a part-polished or all-black finish. As with all the Black Badge models, the brightwork on the Black Badge Spectre gets a dark finish, and this includes the Pantheon grille up front, the Spirit of Ecstasy, the door handles and the bumper accents. The Black Badge Spectre also gets an illuminated grille backplate, with the illumination being offered in the colours of Tailored Purple, Charles Blue, Chartreuse and Forge Yellow colours.

Inside the Black Badge spectre, you get a unique illuminated front fascia that comprises of 5,500 ‘stars’ which are set in against a Piano Black ‘sky’ insert. You also get the Black Badge Infinity symbol stitched into the leather ‘Waterfall’ section which separates the rear seats. The interior also gets elements finished in carbon fibre and metal. The instruments of the Black Badge Spectre can be had with a choice of five colour themes – Vivid Grellow, Neon Nights, Cyan Fire, Ultraviolet and Synth Wave.

The electric powertrain of the Rolls-Royce Black Badge Spectre produces 650bhp (485kW) of power. The Black Badge Spectre also gets a new Infinity mode that is accessible by a button on the steering wheel, which allows the driver to have access to the entirety of the power. In this mode, the dials of the Spectre also become more vibrant. You also get a Spirited mode on the Black Badge Spectre which allows the driver to experience a burst of power and intense acceleration – think of it as Rolls-Royce’s take on launch control. This mode also temporarily boosts the torque output of the Spectre to 1075Nm and allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 96kmph (0-60mph) in a claimed 4.1 seconds.

The company has also introduced a number of changes to the chassis of the Black Badge Spectre and one of these changes is the increased steering weight, with the roll stabilisation being adjusted to create more feedback from the steering inputs and also to reduce body roll during cornering. You also get upgraded dampers which improve body control and reduce the car’s ‘squatting’ under acceleration or deceleration.
