The VinFast VF 7 all-electric SUV launched at a starting price of ₹20.89 lakh
VinFast, the Vietnamese electric automobile company, has just launched its premium electric SUV, the VF 7, in India with free charging till July 2028

VinFast, the Vietnamese electric automobile manufacturer, has just launched the VF 7 at ₹20.89 lakh, alongside the VF 6. The cars will be locally manufactured at their recently inaugurated Thoothukudi plant at Tamil Nadu. Let's deep dive to find out what the VF 7 has to offer.
2025 VinFast VF 7 exterior
The VF 7 doesn't look radically different from the front as compared to the VF 6, with the model showcasing its signature LED DRLs on both sides of the Vinfast logo. The VF 7 gets brushed aluminium elements in the bumper and a flat unit that encompasses the headlight and turn signal. The VF 7 is 4.5 meters long and has a 2,840mm wheelbase, which is slightly larger than the VF 6. The ground clearance is 190mm on the VF 7. On the side, you will notice that it rides on 19-inch alloy wheels, the Wind variant gets them painted in black. It also gets flush door handles that pop out when you unlock it. At the rear, the styling is a bit radical and gets vertical tail lamps with the signature end-to-end LED DRL elements on both sides of the VinFast logo. There are also chrome elements above the bumper. The prominent rear spoiler gives the VF 7 a sporty look. The VF 7 is available in six colours, Zenith Grey, Crimson Red, Jet Black, Urban Mint, Desat Silver and Infinity Blanc.

The VF 7's interiors are dominated by the central infotainment system. All of the key information such as indication of speed and charge level is moved to the central touch screen and as well as the head-up display. The speed is displayed on the right-hand side of the central 12.9-inch infotainment screen. Behind the steering wheel, you get an attention alert sensor that will detect if the driver is drowsy. The Earth variant gets black and the Wind variant gets mocca brown vegan leather upholstery. VF 7 Wind Infinity and Sky Infinity variants add an edge-to-edge panoramic fixed glass roof to the list. As standard the VF 7 gets heated ORVM with auto dimming and memory functions, a C-Type 90W USB port to charge electronic gadgets and even dual zone AC. The standard list of features include Auto LED projector headlamps with auto levelling, acoustic windshield and glass roof, keyless entry and Auto AC. The VF 7 also gets bezel less auto dimming IRVM, ABS, EBD, stability control, traction control, rain sensing wipers, seven airbags, TPMS, 360-degree view, cruise control, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, multiple drive and regen modes as well as connected car tech.
2025 VinFast VF 7 powertrain
The VF 7 will be available with two battery packs. The VF 7 Earth comes with a 59.6 kWh battery pack with an ARAI certified range of 438km. Its motor produces 174bhp and 250Nm of peak torque. It will charge from 10 to 70 per cent in just 24 minutes. The VF 7 Wind gets a larger 70.8kWh battery pack with an ARAI certified range of 532km, with DC charging you can go from 10-70 per cent SOC in 28 minutes. Its PMSM motor enables it to produce 201bhp and 310Nm peak torque. The 0-100kmph time is claimed to be 9.5 seconds. The VF 7 Sky gets all the features of VF 7 Wind plus a dual motor setup generating combined peak power of 349bhp and 500Nm peak torque. It also gets AWD capabilities and can do 0-100kmph in just 5.8 seconds (claimed). It has a range of 510km (ARAI certified).

The VF 7 gets ten years or 2,00,000km battery and vehicle warranty along with 24x7 RSA at 19,000+ pincodes. The VF 7 gets free charging till July 2028 at VGreens charging stations, free maintenance for three years and free curtain for the edge-to-edge panoramic roof.
2025 VinFast VF 7 pricing and rivals
