Volkswagen Virtus and Taigun get a new Deep Black Pearl paint scheme

The Deep Black Pearl paint scheme is offered only in the Topline trim level with the 1-litre TSI engine

Volkswagen has introduced a new Deep Black Pearl colour scheme for the Virtus and Taigun. This new colour scheme is only available in the Topline trim level with the 1-litre TSI engine and costs the same as the standard paint schemes.

What’s new?

The only thing new is this new Deep Black Pearl Gloss Black paint scheme. Both cars get chrome elements on the door handles as well as on the front and rear bumpers. Previously, the Topline Virtus and Taigun were available in seven different colours: Curcuma Yellow, Wild Cherry Red, Rising Blue Metallic, Reflex Silver, Carbon Steel Grey, Lava Blue, and Candy White. Aside from the colour change, the Deep Black Pearl Topline trim retains all of the features of the 1-litre Topline trim.

Topline trim

The Topline trim is the highest-end variant for both Virtus and Taigun with the 1-litre engine. The 1.5-litre engine is also available with a higher GT and GT Plus trim levels. However, in the Topline variant, The Virtus and Taigun get LED headlamps and DRLs. The Taigun rides on 17-inch alloy wheels, while the Virtus rides on 16-inch alloy wheels. These vehicles also have an 8-inch driver display and a 10-inch infotainment system. The front seats are ventilated and electronically adjustable.

Prices

Prices will be the same as those of the Topline trim. The Volkswagen Virtus with the MT costs Rs 15.22 lakh and the AT costs Rs 16.47 lakh. The Volkswagen Taigun, on the other hand, costs Rs 16.03 lakh with the MT and Rs 17.60 lakh with an AT.

The launch of the Virtus and Taigun in the Deep Black Pearl paint scheme coincides with the recent launch of the Skoda Elegance Edition in gloss black. However, it was only available with the 1.5-litre TSI engine.
