New all-electric Volvo EX60 unveiled in Sweden!
Volvo claims a WLTP range of 810kms on a single charge with the P12 AWD.

2026 all-electric Volvo EX60 unveiled
Volvo Cars has stepped into the mid-size EV SUV segment with their all new electric EX60. With the introduction of the EX60, Volvo has expanded its portfolio and the market that they will be supplying to. The Volvo EX60 starts production in Spring of 2026 at their factory in Sweden. The customer deliveries will begin in summer of 2026 with the P6 and P10 models, with the top-end P12 to follow soon after.
Volvo EX60 design
The Volvo EX60, is designed with a sloping roof line, a tapered body line and a low front to give it an efficient aerodynamic stance. The EX60 has a competitive drag coefficient of 0.26 which also helps in increasing the driving range of the car. With its new design, it also has the lowest carbon footprint of any electric Volvo SUV, similar to its other electric cousin the EX30.

As stylish as it is on the outside, Volvo has used high-end materials on the interiors of the car too. The Volvo EX60 has a flat floor and with Volvo’s clever design cues, the interior has various smart compartments for personal storage. For those who love music, the Volvo EX60 comes equipped with a 28-speaker Bowers and Wilkins audio system, which also includes speakers placed in the headrest. The car will come with in-built Apple Music that will support Dolby Atmos for an immersive sound experience.

The Volvo EX60 is available in 3 different drivetrains. It starts from the P6 which has a RWD set-up and gives a claimed WLTP range of 620kms on a single charge with 369bhp and 480Nm. Then on top are the P10 with 504bhp and 710Nm and the P12 with 672bhp and 790Nm, which come set-up with an AWD system. The P10 has a WLTP claimed range of 660kms on a single charge while the P12 has a range of 810kms on a single charge. The Volvo EX60 has new in-house developed e-motors and a new battery cell design which help in faster charging and in increasing the efficiency of the vehicle.

The EX60 safety features are powered by the latest generation of the HuginCore which represents the maximum of Volvo’s safety standards. By having sensors on all corners that keep a constant check on the surroundings the vehicle gets a clear and precise understanding of the environment. The vehicle comes equipped with the world's first multi-adaptive safety belt for the front passengers which adapts to traffic conditions and the passenger with the help of sensors to give the optimum safety level required. The Volvo’s redesign included the chassis being strengthened with boron steel which gives increased protection and rigidity.

Volvo EX60 rivals
With its production starting in the spring of 2026 and deliveries commencing in summer of 2026, it will compete with electric SUVs like the BMW iX3 and the Tesla Model Y in the Indian market. With the launch of the all-electric EX60, Volvo steps into the mid-size electric SUV segment expanding their line up.
