Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally launched in India at Rs 29.72 lakh
Ducati has launched the Multistrada V4 Rally in India. The motorcycle is offered in two paint schemes - the red comes with a price tag of Rs 29.72 lakh while the black costs Rs 26.73 lakh. The Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally is the most off-road-focused version of the ADV.
Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally design
The Multistrada V4 Rally edition features a twin-pod headlight, front beak-style fender, semi-fairing, split-style seat, and a high-mounted exhaust, similar to the standard Multistrada V4. The Rally version, on the other hand, comes standard with tubeless tire-compatible spoke rims and reinforced engine guards. It also has a larger 30-litre fuel tank (compared to 22.5-litre on the standard Multistrada), giving it a longer range than the base model. Ducati has also increased passenger space by extending the tail section. Thick rubber inserts are also added on the foot pegs to reduce vibrations. A centre stand is also included as standard, making it easier to load and unload side cases and perform maintenance. The bike is available in two colours: Ducati Red and Brushed Aluminium with Matte Black.
Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally chassis
The chassis of the Multistrada V4 Rally is the same as that of the standard motorcycle, with an aluminium frame and a double-sided aluminium swingarm. The bike, on the other hand, now has redesigned tubeless spoke rims that are lighter and increase overall agility. Ducati has increased the suspension travel on the Multistrada V4 Rally to 200mm in both the front and rear, surpassing the Multistrada V4 S's 170mm front and 180mm rear suspension travel. The motorcycle now has a larger metal sump guard, which protects the bike's underbelly better. Ducati offers multiple seat and suspension options for the Multistrada V4 Rally to accommodate different rider sizes, including an adjustable seat height range of 805mm to 905mm. Furthermore, the addition of the off-road power mode, which limits power to 113bhp, improves the bike's off-road handling, which is especially useful for this 260kg motorcycle when venturing off the pavement.
Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally powertrain
The Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally is powered by an 1158 cc V4 Granturismo engine that generates 167bhp at 10750 rpm and 121Nm at 8,750 rpm. Notably, the previously stationary-only cylinder deactivation technology can now deactivate and reactivate the rear cylinder bank while in motion, resulting in improved fuel efficiency and reduced heat exposure for the rider.
Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally safety and features
The Multistrada V4 Rally is equipped with a front and rear radar system that supports adaptive cruise control and blind spot detection to enhance rider safety during long rides. The 6.5-inch TFT colour dashboard offers map navigation through the Ducati Connect application, enabling riders to manage calls and music via compatible intercom-equipped helmets. The motorcycle also integrates safety systems like ABS cornering, cornering lights, wheelie control, and traction control, which adjusts based on the bike's lean and pitch angles using the inertial platform (IMU).
Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally prices
The Multistrada V4 Rally in red costs Rs 29.72 lakh, while the black variant costs Rs 30.02 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Notably, these prices represent a significant premium over the Multistrada V4 S, which costs Rs 26.73 lakh. Even though the Rally is more expensive, it includes many features that are only available as accessories on the standard Multistrada.
