Jaguar unveils the MY2020 XE for international markets

Jaguar has unveiled the new XE for the international markets. The new XE receives a lot of technical and aesthetic updates and picks up quite a few things from its siblings, the I-Pace and the F-Type.

The design and interiors of the Jaguar XE

The new Jaguar XE gets aggressive styling with redesigned bumpers, new LED headlamps and a slender LED tail lamp. Additionally, the vehicle resonates with styling inspired by the sporty F-type.  The influence of the sportscar continues inside as well. This is evident from the SportShift gear selector and JaguarDrive Control switch just like the F-Type. The sedan also features a redesigned centre console adopted from its siblings. Shared with the all-electric I-Pace, the new steering wheel features capacitive switches for intuitive, tactile control of the functions.

Next, the ClearSight mirror, a first-in-segment feature is an interesting technical facet of the new XE. This uses a wide-angle rear-view camera, an HD screen projects the images, providing an unhindered view of the traffic behind. The new XE gets its infotainment system from the I-Pace.

For performance-orientated enthusiasts, Jaguar’s R-Dynamic models include additional exterior design elements and interior tweaks, including sports-style seats with contrast stitching, Satin Chrome gearshift paddles and R-Dynamic treadplates.
