Kawasaki India gave us the shocker of the year in October 2018 by announcing the Japanese brand’s plan to bring their middleweight supersport, the MY20 Ninja ZX-6R to our shores. Last month, the bike was launched at Rs 10.49 lakh and now, the company has commenced deliveries of the Ninja ZX-6R.

Ecstatic on the Ninja ZX-6R’s introduction in India, Naoki Matsumoto – managing director, India Kawasaki Motors Pvt. Ltd said: “The Ninja ZX-6R created a great stir when its entry in Indian market was announced. Because the Ninja ZX-6R is an ambitious project for us, starting deliveries of the Ninja ZX-6R is indeed an exciting moment. We hope that our customers relish riding Ninja ZX-6R on streets as well as on race tracks.”

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R is available in the Kawasaki Racing Team (KRT) edition only. The bike is powered by an inline-four 636cc engine and produces 127bhp and 70.8Nm. Featuring electronics like KIBS (Kawasaki Intelligent anti-lock Brake system), KTRC (Kawasaki Traction Control) along with a quick-shifter and a shift and assist clutch, this motorcycle is the only full-blown middle-weight supersport offering in the country (Are you listening, Yamaha?) and we can’t wait to get our hands on this motorcycle.
