Mahindra launches its 9-seater TUV 300 Plus
Mahindra has launched the bigger version of its TUV 300, christened TUV 300 Plus at Rs 9.47 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The highlight of the SUV is that it can seat 9 people. How comfortable the seating is, remains to be seen. The interiors of the SUV are designed by Pininfarina. The overall length of the TUV 300 Plus is 4400mm, which is a whopping 405mm more than the TUV 300, which seats seven. The width remains the same and the TUV 300 Plus is 5mm shorter than the TUV 300.
Powering the TUV 300 Plus is the tried and tested 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine that puts out 118bhp and 280Nm. The TUV 300 Plus makes 18bhp and 40Nm more than the TUV 300. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. On the inside, you get faux leather seats, steering mounted controls and a 7-inch touch screen infotainment system with navigation. Driver aids include start/stop system, reverse parking assist and an eco mode.
