Santosh Iyer will soon assume the responsibility of heading the Marketing and Sales division at Mercedes-Benz India. Iyer is currently in charge of Customer Services, Corporate Affairs and CSR functions at Mercedes-Benz India Chakan facility, just outside Pune.
Iyer will succeed Michael Jopp with effect from July 1, 2019. Meanwhile, Jopp will take the same position at the German luxury carmaker’s Malaysian facility. Iyer has been with Mercedes-Benz India for about a decade. He has experience in multiple domains like sales, marketing, retail, customer service, and corporate affairs. Also, he is accredited with driving customer centricity for Mercedes-Benz and has a played a key role in establishing the German marque as one of the top players in after-sales service. Moreover, he has a profound understanding of the market, which is quite crucial in the increasingly competitive luxury car segment.
