MG ZS EV gets a new ‘Exclusive Pro’ variant priced at Rs 27.90 lakh

The ZS EV Exclusive Pro variant gets ADAS level-2 functionalities

MG Motor India has expanded its ZS EV SUV lineup with the introduction of the Exclusive Pro trim, which now offers a comprehensive suite of ADAS Level-2 features. Priced at Rs 27.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the ZS EV Exclusive Pro carries a premium of Rs 59,000 over the Exclusive variant that has been on sale since the 2021 facelift.

The MG ZS EV's Autonomous Level 2 (ADAS) technology offers a range of advanced features designed to enhance the driving experience and passenger safety. These features include traffic jam assist, forward collision warning, a speed assist system, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. The ADAS system operates on three levels of sensitivity - low, medium, and high - allowing users to customise the system's response to their preferences. Furthermore, the system employs three levels of warning - ‘haptic’, ‘audio’, and ‘visual’.

While the ADAS enhancements are noteworthy, the remaining equipment offered on the ZS EV remains unchanged. It continues to provide a range of safety features, including six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, a 360-degree camera, hill descent control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and a hill-start assist. The SUV boasts additional amenities such as a panoramic sunroof, a 10.1-inch touchscreen system, wireless phone charging, a 7-inch digital driver's display, and more than 75 connected car features.

The mechanical configuration of the ZS EV remains unchanged. It has a 50.3kWh battery and a claimed range of 461km. The SUV is powered by an electric motor that produces 173bhp and 280Nm of torque, helping it claim a 0-100kph acceleration time of 8.5 seconds.

Pricing for the ZS EV range now spans from Rs 23.38 lakh to Rs 27.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This positions the ZS EV as a competitive choice against rivals such as the BYD Atto 3 and Hyundai Kona EV in the market.
