Roadtrippers club create awareness regarding e-mobility in Mumbai

More than 50 road tripping enthusiasts and electric car lovers played an ‘Eco Hunt’ in Mumbai on August 19th 2018. The event was organized by the Roadtrippers Club, a community of road tripping lovers and travel enthusiasts, who aim to create awareness about e-mobility in India.

The Eco Hunt was flagged off from the Fort area in Mumbai while participants were Mahindra e2o owners, Zoomcar ZAP subscribers and members of the EV community Plug-in India. The members from Roadtrippers Club too joined the game. The teams headed towards 22 clue stops with the aim of finding 6 clues to complete the hunt. The organizers made sure that each clue was placed near historic locations which were associated with e-mobility and sustainability.

Speaking on this creative way of promoting sustainable mobility, Ruchik Gandhi, from the Roadtrippers Club, stated, “Many users used the automatic electric vehicles for the first time and were very pleasantly surprised by the pollution-free & noise-free vehicles. The event triggered the thoughts amongst the participants the urge to know more about our city’s heritage, to take more roadtrips to discover new experiences and to definitely consider switching to Electric Vehicles as an alternative mobility solution”.

The winning team of the Eco Hunt comprised of Jayaram, Karishma and Yohaan who completed the hunt in 48 minutes.

India is struggling in solving its pollution problems and in such times events like these can play a big role at a ground level in creating awareness regarding a clean and green environment. Mahindra’s e2o and eVerito are the only affordable electric cars available in India at the moment while we await the Tata Tigor EV and Tiago EV in the near future.
