MY23 Ducati Streetfighter V4 range launched in India at Rs 24.62 lakh

The range also includes the V4 S has also been launched in India which comes at Rs 27.80 lakh

Launched last year globally, the MY23 Streetfighter V4 range has finally found its way to our shores and it brings along the Streetfighter V4 as well as the V4 S. Prices start at Rs 24.62 lakh for the Streetfighter V4 in the Ducati Red shade which is the only shade you can get it in. On the V4 S, this shade costs Rs 27.80 lakh but you get one more paint option called the Grey Nero which is priced at Rs 28 lakh. As for the updates, the tank now gets increased capacity with a new tank cover design. Along with these, there are electronic upgrades like the addition of a new Wet riding mode and Engine Brake Control Evo 2.

The newer model has a similar design language to the outgoing model and gets a Full-LED headlamp with DRL. Now it gets a new frame and new side covers on the tank which itself is now bigger with a capacity of 16.5 litres. Ducati says the new design is much more ergonomic and would give the rider better support under hard braking and cornering than before.

The Streetfighter’s front frame and the single-side swingarm are both made out of aluminium and keep the overall weight lower. Braking duties are handled by Brembo Stylema callipers. In terms of suspension, the V4 gets a fully adjustable 43mm Showa Big Piston Fork up front and a fully adjustable Sachs monoshock at the rear. The Streetfighter follows the evolution of the MY23 Panigale V4 thus giving it greater stability and front-end feel. The rear swingarm pivot is positioned 4mm higher thus increasing stability and precision which in turn helps the rider during cornering. Along with this, the weight distribution is moved up front, thus further improving the cornering ability of the bike.

The V4 S gets upgraded suspension tech in the form of semi-active Ohlins suspension (NIX30 upside-down 43 mm fork and TTX36 shock absorber) and Marchesini aluminium forged rims.

Ducati Streetfighter V4 feature upgrades

There are several upgrades in the electronics package of the Streetfighter V4 like the inclusion of a Wet riding mode and a new Engine Brake Control EVO 2 software which according to Ducati, guarantees better stability, precision and directionality in the braking and corner entry phases. The Ducati Quickshift has also been revised and it now acts differently depending on the throttle position.

The 5-inch TFT display has also gotten upgrades in terms of the display modes which sport new layouts that are more informative than before. It also gets a new Track Evo mode which is taken from Ducati’s MotoGP bike.

In addition to these, the bike gets several electronics as standard like ABS Cornering EVO; Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO 2; Ducati Slide Control (DSC); Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVO; Ducati Power Launch (DPL); Ducati Quick Shift up / down (DQS) EVO 2 and Engine Brake Control (EBC) EVO.

Ducati Streetfighter V4 engine

The bike continues with the 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale engine churning out 205bhp and 123Nm of torque. But it has been slightly recalibrated to account for the bigger exhaust opening which was done to reduce the exhaust back pressure.

The power figures can be bumped up to 217bhp and weight can be reduced by 5kg if you opt for the optional Akrapovic full-racing exhaust.

Ducati Streetfighter V4 price

The new Streetfighter V4 will be available in India with prices starting at Rs 24.62 lakh (ex-showroom). The V4 S version will be available in two colours, Ducati Red at Rs 27.80 lakh and Grey Nero at Rs 28 lakh.
