Rolls-Royce adds colour to its sporty Black Badge models

Rolls-Royce makes the Wraith, Dawn and Cullinan Black Badge more eye-catching with the introduction of super-solid ‘Neon Nights’ colours

Rolls-Royce is now making sure that its line of sporty Black Badge cars get more attention on the road by offering it in three new, striking limited edition ‘Neon Nights’ colours. The colours offered are inspired from exotic plants and animals and will be available on a limited number of the Rolls-Royce Wraith, Dawn and Cullinan Black Badge models.

The three nature-inspired colours are Lime Rock Green for the Rolls-Royce Wraith, Eagle Rock Red for the Rolls-Royce Dawn, and Mirabeau Blue for the Rolls-Royce Cullinan. Rolls-Royce claims that the paint effect provides an intense neon glow and depicts the distortion of artificial light with speed. Created initially for clients in the United States, three further iterations of each colour are available for commission worldwide, making a limited run of just four of each colour. However, in the near future, three more examples of each colour will be made available for commission worldwide.

The Lime Rock Green for the Wraith is inspired from the Australian green tree frog and it is paired with an interior of Scivaro Grey leather, with Lime Rock Green accents. The Eagle Rock Red is inspired from the flowers of a native Hawaiian tree called the Ōhi‘a lehua and the interiors have the Selby Grey leather with Koi Red accents. The Cullinan’s Mirabeau Blue is taken from an exotic butterfly, ‘Rhetus periander’, and the interiors are finished with Arctic White leather and Lime Rock Green stitching and details.

“Neon Nights is a vibrant trilogy of Rolls-Royce Black Badges, whose inspiration come from nature. The newly developed Bespoke paint is applied to the Black Badge variants of Wraith, Dawn and Cullinan - the darker and edgier ‘enfants terribles’ of the Rolls-Royce family. Taking cues from the natural world, including an Australian green tree frog, a Hawaiian tree flower and an exotic butterfly, these limited hues show Black Badge bolder in colour, appealing to patrons around the world who really do dare to be different.”

The bold move of offering these Black Badge versions in striking neon colours traces back to the 2019 Pebble Beach event when a suite of Black Badges made headlines for their unique pastel colours. Seeing the demand and love that these colours received, Rolls-Royce has now arrived at offering their cars in these ‘Neon Night’ colours. Although it is a limited run, they should make a darn sight rolling down the road!
