Tata launches Nexon XZ at Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
Tata Motors has expanded its Nexon range by adding another variant to it. The Nexon XZ petrol is priced at 7.99 lakh while the XZ diesel retails at Rs 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The XZ sits below the range topping XZ+ trim and gets some of its features which are absent in the XE, XM and XT variants. With respect to the XZ+, the XZ variant in petrol and diesel trims is affordable by Rs 58,158 and Rs 63,194 respectively. The XZ is dearer to the XT trim that is slotted below it by Rs 66,842 and Rs 81,807 for petrol and diesel variants respectively.
The Nexon XZ now gets more creature comforts and features on the inside. It gets a 6.5 inch floating touch screen infotainment, Android Auto, voice alerts, message readouts, voice command recognition, 4 tweeters, fabric inserts on door trims, day/night inside rear view mirror, height adjustable driver seat and height adjustable seatbelts. It also gets reverse camera for parking and projector headlamps. The above features were earlier available only in the top end XZ+ variant. Mechanically, the car remains unchanged and is powered by the same 1.2-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre turbo diesel engines that produce 108.5 horses. The engine comes paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox. There are no cosmetic changes done to the car.
