Director Matt Reeves unveils pictures of new Batmobile to be featured in next installment of the Batman series

The new chapter of the Batman series is being shot starring Robert Pattinson as the Dark Knight and the first pictures of Pattinson’s ride has piqued our interest. Matt Reeves in a tweet posted three pictures that give us a rough idea about the car. The car from the front looks broader and a whole lot more muscular than the last Batmobile with a large flat hood and has a menacing look to start with. From the looks of it, it seems like a union of design elements from a Ford GT and a 70s Dodge Challenger. The headlights aren't visible but are clearly inset with the grille which finds itself in a recess below the tip of the bonnet. From the rear the car looks massive and the rear curved fenders merge cleanly with the trapezoidal tail lights. The rear accommodates the massive engine.

It isn’t clear if it is a V8 or a V10 at this point and upswept exhausts on each side are sure to add some drama as the Batmobile sprints through the streets of Gotham city. The iconic part of the Batmobile, the circular afterburner is placed centrally at the rear. On the inside, we get a glimpse of the dash that takes cues from the past with a centrally placed small screen.
